Floriana Young Stars have officially made history, becoming the first-ever Maltese hockey team to be promoted to Division 1 of the EuroHockey Club Challenge.

The team’s defensive wall, goalkeeper Marvin Grixti, was also awarded Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament, a standout individual achievement in what was already a remarkable team effort.
The Young Stars played four strong games, winning three and narrowly losing just one, proving they were more than ready for the next level of competition.
This promotion is not just a win for Floriana, but a powerful moment for Maltese hockey, showing that even from a small island, teams can compete, perform, and rise up on the international stage.
