‘History Made’- Malta Places 10th In Debut Beach Handball European Championships
Over the past week, the Maltese Men’s Beach Handball team made their debut at the European Handball Federation Beach Handball Championships held in Varna, Bulgaria, from 11th July to the 14th.
Competing in Group B, they faced teams from Bulgaria, France, Czechia, and Norway. After the group stage, Malta proceeded to the Consolidation Round, where they played against Italy, Czechia, and Türkiye.
In their first international competition, Malta secured a 10th place finish overall. Liam Harrison and Mauro Camilleri Darmanin emerged as the team’s leading scorers, each netting 25 goals.
