Video gamers rejoice! Malta’s national football team will feature in the highly popular football video game PES2020 after the MFA gave their consent to UEFA to be part of it.

This is the first time that Malta will be represented in a playable game since EA Sports FIFA 2014 World Cup Edition and we can’t wait to take our boys to the final and crown them Euro champions!

Malta will be one of 50 downloadable teams that will feature in both the main game and Euro 2020 DLC, which will be released early next year under Konami Digital Entertainment.

For those competitive gamers out there, you’ll also be able to represent Malta’s football team in an international esports tournament featuring national football associations from all over Europe competing against each other. 

This is a great opportunity for Maltese esports players to show off their skills and prowess whilst representing Malta on an international stage!

Those who end up in the final 16 of the tournament will then compete in an event in London taking place between the semi-finals and finals of the Euro 2020 next summer. 

PES2020 will be released on September 10th so you’ll have plenty of time to practice!
