Liverpool Legend Jamie Carragher Visits Iconic Gżira Eatery Ahead Of Malta Match

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has paid a visit to Gżira’s iconic Bus Stop Lounge eatery.
The former defender and current football pundit published a an Instagram story of himself standing outside the establishment with a group of people.
Carragher is in Malta to watch his son James Carragher, who could make his debut for the Maltese national team in tonight’s home game against Finland.
James Carragher, 22, plays for Wigan Athletic and recently acquired Maltese citizenship, allowing him to play for the national team. His great-grandfather (Jamie Carragher’s grandfather) was Maltese, hailing from Qormi, and had married an English woman before moving to Bootle.
Malta take on Finland at 8:45pm tonight in their first match of their World Cup 2026 qualification campaign. It will also be manager Emilio de Leo’s first game in charge of the national team.
