Malta lost 7-0 in their UEFA Qualifying match against Spain last night after failing to control the ball with Spain taking 80% possession of the ball throughout the match.

With Spain dominating the pitch, leading the shots with a 32:1 split and Malta flunking with 7 fouls.

The match, played at Estadio Ramón de Carranza, saw the Spanish national team make a total of 902 passes with an 80% majority in possession of the ball.

While Malta did pull up their socks with accuracy in their passes, it was the sheer Spanish force that saw the country take the win after flooring Malta with an incredible 902 passes over our 239.

No cards were handed out, but it wasn’t until the last 25 minutes of the match that Spain picked up their speed and scored the remaining five goals in the last half-hour with three minutes of extra time awarded as the final goal was scored at the 85th minute.
