Malta Table Tennis Association Suspended Amid Ongoing Investigations

The Maltese Olympic Committee (MOC) has officially suspended the Malta Table Tennis Association following ongoing investigations into its operations by the Office of the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations (OCVO) and the Authority for Integrity in Maltese Sport (AIMS).
The decision was taken unanimously by the MOC Executive Board during a meeting held on Thursday 10th July, and later approved by the General Assembly, which includes all national sports federations.
In a statement, the MOC said it had “no option” but to issue the suspension under the current circumstances. It also stressed that the measure is temporary and will be reviewed once the findings of both current and any future investigations are made public.
This marks the second time in two years that internal issues within the Association have prompted action from the Olympic Committee.
The MOC reiterated its commitment to maintaining integrity and good governance across all Maltese sport.
