Malta’s Football Association Has Elected Its New President, Bjorn Vassallo
Bjorn Vassallo has been elected the new President of the Malta Football Association, winning 83 of the 137 votes cast, beating out Chris Bonnet in a close contest.
Vassallo, who served as Chief Executive Officer and General Secretary of the Malta FA in the past, succeeds Norman Darmanin Demajo as Malta FA President
Until recently, Vassallo also held the post of FIFA Director for European Member Associations.
He hopes to focus on reforming both the sporting and administrative elements of the MFA, while also addressing the national team’s performances by encouraging players to travel to foreign leagues.
