Malta’s National Polo Team Brings Home The Alexandria Cup After Beating Ireland At 6-1

Malta’s National Polo team beat Ireland last Saturday with a score of 6-1, bringing home the Alexandria Cup.

The match took place at Malta Equidrome in Marsa, with Malta immediately taking the advantage. The national team managed to secure a tremendous lead early on, gaining a six-point advantage within the first two chukkas.

Malta Polo Club’s Matthew Borg and team captain Martin Arrigo scored two goals for Malta, while Jeremy Besancon and Karl Galea added another two shots.

In the fourth chukka, Mark Stone from the Irish team scored a goal, bringing the tally to 6-1, with Malta maintaining a steady lead.

After the match, EquestriMalta chairman John Huber, along with CEO Mark Zammit, presented the Alexandria Cup to captain Arrigo.
