Maltese Kickboxer Wins In High-Level Competition In Sicily
Maltese kickboxer Justin Pace put in a stellar performance to defeat his opponent in a high-level kickboxing competition in Sicily.
In a spectacular performance on Saturday 30th July, Pace defeated his opponent Osama Latif during the ‘Evolution Fight’ held in Rosolini, Sicily.
Pace has been training with Team Noel for these past six years and had the opportunity of competing both locally and overseas countless times.
He has had a very successful career up till now in the kickboxing sport and is aiming to achieve even better results and titles in the years to come.
Pace’s bout consisted of three rounds of three minutes each within the 60kg category, with this being considered the main event of the night.
Piscopo, meanwhile, battled against the experienced Italian fighter, Nicolas Novati for his portion of the competition.
Both Piscopo and Novati exchanged a series of punches and kicks with the latter being announced the winner by split decision.
This was not the first time that Piscopo represented Malta in such high-level competitions where he was crowned champion multiple times whilst proudly holding the Maltese flag.
Piscopo is a well-recognised fighter both in the Malta Kickboxing Association (MKBA) and the World Kickboxing Network (WKN) after winning several titles in his career.
Pace and Piscopo said that such high-level events are very important in one’s fighting career as they truly push their boundaries to achieve positive results.
They have both returned to the gym to continue their ongoing training routines in preparation for other fights in the near future.
Coach and founder of Team Noel Kickboxing Club, Master Noel Mercieca remarked that he is proud of both his fighters as these types of competitions require intense training and hard work both mentally and physically.
