Malta showed its seafaring skills off this weekend when Team Chaudron, a family run team helmed by Aaron Ciantar and Dominique Martini, took first place in the UIM VI World Championship.

Team Chaudron – named after the three siblings Charlotte, Audrien and Aaron – dominated from the get-go, and ended with a strong performance on the final Sunday when fierce winds and rough seas gave trouble to the all competitors, which Team Chaudron took advantage of to overcome strong attempts from the Italian and German teams.

Aaron Ciantar used a Chaudron hull that was built and designed locally by his family’s boat business here in Malta.
