San Giljan have been crowned BOV Water Polo Winter Premier League Champions after defeating arch-rivals Neptunes.

The team snatched the trophy after making it through Preliminary Round and entire league without suffering any defeats and won their last match against Neptunes with a score of 12-6.

Joseph Agius, Chief Officer at Bank of Valletta and Karl Izzo, President of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta presented the BOV Water Polo Winter Premier League Trophy to San Giljan captain Matthew Zammit amid the jubilation of the players, team officials and the sizable crowd of fans gathered at the National Pool in Tal-Qroqq.

The team took to social media to celebrate the win saying: “Boom – four in a row!”
