Sirens ASC’s Youngest Artistic Swimmers Shine At International Meet In Slovakia
Sirens ASC’s Under-8 artistic swimming team made waves abroad, proudly representing Malta at the Žabky na Slávii 2025 competition in Bratislava, Slovakia, their very first international outing.
Facing off against 40 young athletes from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, and Malta, the Sirens swimmers impressed judges with their composure, teamwork, and precision in the pool. Their hard work paid off with remarkable results across all categories.
The team ranked among the top clubs in the Level 1 FIG (2013 & younger) category, with three swimmers placing in the top five and all six finishing in the top twenty, an outstanding milestone for such a young team.
Berta Bonavia Montfort took 2nd place, Regina Mia Gyorfi finished 3rd, and Paola Catana placed 5th, with Kateryna Hordiienko, Valentina Dalli, and Elena La Rosa also landing strong results.
In the 2017 age group, Gyorfi clinched 1st place, Catana came 3rd, and all four Sirens swimmers ranked within the top eight. Meanwhile, in the 2018 age group, Bonavia Montfort placed 2nd and Dalli came 5th, capping off a stellar showing from the Maltese side.
