A Maltese-French Cross Fit supergroup has just dumbelled their way to fifth place at an international CrossFit competition last weekend.

‘Team French Hobza’ is comprised of Maltese and French athletes, Kyle Micallef, Christina Grima, Marco Arredondo, and Eva Mostaert, who together showed that they’re all about making that ‘dough’ when they finished in fifth place at the ‘Battle For Middle Ground Winter Soldiers Final’ last week.

The supergroup landed themselves a spot in the final of the CrossFit competition after they made it in the top 12 qualifiers back in August 2019. French Hobza competed at the most elite level of Middle Ground Winter Soldiers known as RX, meaning they were going head-to-head against some of the best CrossFit athletes in the nation…

Their workouts included sprints, chippers, devil rows, squats and the dreaded worm sandbag…

Through sheer determination and a bond that spreads over two countries, Team French Hobza dominated the competition and ended the two-day event with 613 points, enough for fifth place.

“This photo summarises the mentality of the team and the energy of these 3 people,  with whom I had the honour to share this experience with!”

Congratulations Team French Hobza!
