Our women’s football national team return to the pitch tonight as they face Andorra in their final UEFA Nations League match.

“Let’s finish the campaign on a high!” wrote Malta Football Association on social media.

Tonight’s match follows last Friday’s match in which Malta beat Cyprus with a score of 1-0 as Hayley Bugeja scored the winning goal. This was a historic promotion for Team Malta to League B, confirming Malta’s top spot in Group C2. This achievement was even celebrated in front of a record-breaking crowd of 1,205 supporters.

“Against Andorra, the team wants to win, to keep this positive momentum. There is the opportunity to rest some players who need to recover and do some player rotation, but ultimately, I have full confidence in the players who will play,” said head coach Manuela Tesse.

Team Malta has travelled to Andorra where they will be playing in the Estadio Encamp starting the match at 7.00pm this evening.

Best of luck Team Malta!
