Teenage Maltese Tennis Star Enters Global Top 80
A 15-year-old Maltese tennis player was last week ranked as one of the top 80 players under the age of 18… in the whole world.
Francesca Curmi has spent the last few months travelling the globe for various competitions, and, with the help of her coaches Matthew Asciak and Dali Susa, has obtained such impressive scores she shot up 1,800 places in the Junior World Rankings.
The rising star has taken and beaten on Ukraine’s Dema Victoria and Burundi’s Sada Nahimna, who both rank in the top 35.
Francesca’s laser-focused ambition is now set to the several upcoming competitions including the Youth Olympic Games in Argentina and the FED Cup in Montenegro.
We can’t wait to see her in action once more!
