England

One of the favourites to win the tournament, the English have notably been underperforming despite the hyper-talented squad they possess. Mainly focusing on pure football magic and solid team play to win their games, can the Three Lions bring it home this year, or will it be another year in the long list of unfortunate failures in the national team’s history?

Switzerland

The Swiss have been one of the most surprising figures to come out of this competition. Despite facing challenges from the likes of Germany and a reinvigorated Hungary in their group stage, they have proven that they aren’t here to mess around, handing a humiliating defeat to previous champions Italy. However, their greatest challenge is yet to come as they face one of the favourites to win the tournament, England.

The Netherlands

The Dutch always bring the party, and this year is no exception. Their style of football has been pacy, energetic, and most importantly clinical. But will it be enough to face another gifted dark horse, Turkey? As they both have scored the same number of goals this season, could this be the second time in their history that a European trophy will arrive in Dutch hands?

Türkiye

Everyone’s long-awaited surprise, the Turkish FA has stormed in with some of the most tactically brilliant plays we’ve seen in the Euros so far, with even a goal of the tournament contender favourite by Mert Muldur. Could this be a historic first for the Turkish FA? Or will the pressure get to them and prevent them from reaching their dreams of reaching the final?

Spain

The highest-rated team in the tournament so far, with a young talented squad even featuring the youngest player ever to compete in an international tournament of this scale, Spain has dominated the competition they’ve faced so far. Being the only team in the tournament to beat all competitors in the group stage, their next opponents might be the only thing that could stop this run. Will Germany and Spain be another clash of the titans in the world of football, or will it be a null 0-0 match?

Germany

Hosts and favourites to win the entire tournament, Germany finally got out of a 10-year rut after their historic fourth World Cup title win in 2014, and they’re back with a vengeance, dominating stat charts all over, with the most goals scored and most accurate passing. Watching this team play is like seeing a well-oiled machine. Under the leadership of Nagelsmann, could it be a return to form for the iconic white shirts?

Portugal

Portugal features some of the oldest veterans of the sport in their team, such as the likes of the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe, who are 39 and 41 respectively. They are captaining and leading a team of mostly young prodigies such as the ever-smiling Raphael Leao and Joao Felix. This mix of experience and youth has created a perfect mix of team chemistry within the squad, having an almost unique style of play that is very specifically and uniquely Portuguese. The question is whether this character is enough to face the star-studded team of France.

France

Les Bleus are notably the most gifted squad in terms of quality and talent, with the likes of superstar talisman Kylian Mbappe at the helm. However, despite all the firepower they possess upfront, they have surprisingly been very lacking in the goal department, only managing to score three goals throughout the tournament and overall underperforming. But will this be a change of luck for the French? Will they rejuvenate new life into the team with the high of semi-final and final glory?

We’ll find out who’s able to go all the way in the next few days as these teams clash… but who do you think will be crowned the Euro 2024 winners?
