Sarah Farrugia and Steven Fenech have just returned from Poland after emerging victorious in both of their categories at the Lomianki Para Dance Sport XXV Polish Open.

The duo competed together in two categories, Latin American and Free Style Show Dancing – and managed to clinch first place in both.

This year’s Lomianki Para Dance Sport Polish Open was the 25th annual event since its inception – and it brought together nearly 60 athletes from ten European countries.

In this competition, as is the case in all Para Dance Sport, wheelchair athletes can compete combi-style, dancing alongside an able-bodied (standing) partner, or duo-dance for two wheelchair users together.

There are also dances for four, six or eight couples dancing in Formation style.

The Malta Wheelchair DanceSport Association are looking for sponsors for Sarah and Steven, who will be able to help them compete on the international stage.

This could be a great opportunity for prospective sponsors, as these dancers have recently been excelling on that stage, having won another international competition less than two months ago when they competed at the Amstelveen 2023 World Para Dance Sport International Competition.

At that prestigious event, the pair earned double gold medals in the Free Style and Show Dance categories and Steven went on to earn himself a bronze in the category of Ballroom Dance.

Tag someone to congratulate these awesome athletes
