13-year-old triathlete Neil Cassar led around 100 cyclists all around Malta and completed 127km in under six hours in aid of Puttinu.

Cassar broke a record he had previously set this year where he cycled 100km in under four hours.

The 13-year-old trained six days a week with his coach Fabio Spiteri, the beloved local ironman athlete, before this impressive feat, who completed the cycle alongside him.

Spiteri posted to Facebook saying, “He is in top form, trust me I will have to slow him down not to split the group,” before the cycle.

The group started at 7am by the Msida church, then cycled all around the island and finished at the same point less than six hours later.

Cassar showcased his impressive stamina and endurance, sometimes leaving the rest of the cyclists behind impressing them with his skill.

He has also competed and came first in the Cisk 0.0 XC National Point Series 2024, and in the Agones SFC, Ti2 EuroSport Duathlon.

“I did well,” Cassar said after finishing this impressive cycle for charity, without showing signs of exhaustion.

Well done Neil, Keep it up!
