Just when you thought you’d seen it all, Maltese firework makers go and take things a step further.
St. Mary Fireworks Mqabba have cemented their love for football, Chelsea FC in particularly, by immortalising ex-Blues star Didier Drogba in a fiery feast for the eyes.
The entire creation spanned a whopping 70 meters and was made from an insane 369 individual fireworks set off in perfect unison. “When an idea is turned into a masterpiece!” they said of their own work, and to be honest, it’s hard to fight that statement.

Known for their incredible displays, St. Mary’s Fireworks Mqabba made headlines last year after they erected an insane, 50-meter tower ahead of their annual feast. This year it was back and better than ever, and helped create what we’re sure is the world’s first footballer-firework-art.
