Watch: Police Called In As Players’ Parents Brawl After U17 Hibs-Pietà Game
A massive fight erupted at a Mosta football stadium following an Under 17 match, where two coaches were allegedly attacked by some of the players’ parents.
The altercation took place yesterday after a match between Hibernians F.C. and Pietà F.C. when parents from the losing team took to the field and allegedly attacked coaches from the winning side. A video of the commotion was sent to Lovin Malta.
Police were called to the scene for assistance and arrived at the stadium at around 1.20pm. “Investigations are currently underway,” a spokesperson told the newsroom.
The U17 knockout match between Hibernians F.C. and Pietà F.C. took place on Sunday at Charles Abela stadium in Mosta at 11.15am, with Hibernians making it to the final after winning 1-0.
