Watch: Proud Jamie Carragher Reveals Son Walked Away With Lewandowski’s Shirt After Malta Game

A proud Jamie Carragher revealed that his son James got to walk away with Robert Lewandoski’s shirt after the Malta vs Poland game this week.
On the Stick to Football podcast, the Liverpool legend recounted the experience of his son’s first two games with the Malta national team – a 1-0 home defeat against Finland and a 2-0 defeat away to Poland.
“He started both games and I wasn’t sure he would as it was his first time there,” Carragher said. “They should have got something out of the Finland game, they played really well in the second half.”
He said his dad was nervous before the Poland game as there were 50,000, mostly Polish, supporters present.
“And what do you do when you’re nervous? You have a drink. But it was good. I wanted Robert Lewandowski to start, but he came on for the last 20 minutes, and my son did alright.”
Asked by Arsenal legend Ian Wright whether James managed to get Lewandowski’s shirt after the game, Carragher confirmed that he did.
