Young Maltese athlete Jeremy Zammit set several records at the European Kids Athletic Games (EKAG) in Brno, Czech Republic earlier this week.
Zammit competed in two events, long jump and the 60-metre sprint, in which he set records for both.
His strongest event of the tournament was long jump in which he recorded a 7.04-metre jump, securing him a young national record, an EKAG record, and a gold medal.
The young Maltese athlete was also successful in the 60-metre category with a 7.32 sprint that set a new young national record.
Jeremy was also presented with the award for ‘The Best Performance’ at the tournament following his stellar long jump.
Pembroke Athleta Athletics & Triathlon (P.A.A.T) also sent over three other young promising athletes to the games, including Jade Borg (300m, Long Jump), Kay Testa (60m, 150m, Long Jump) and Graham Pellegrini (60m, 300m).
In total, Malta had 14 athletes representing the country at the EKAG games in Brno, Czech Republic.
