Tallinja Launches New Premium Service That Will Let You Book A Seat On A Bus

Malta Public Transport has just launched a new service that will allow passengers to book their seat on a premium bus service and choose their final destination from an app on their phone.
Partnering with Ecolane, an international transport software company, the service will be called TD Plus.
Using technology that matches the requests made by different passengers to select the most efficient route, the new service will encourage more people to use public transport, by offering the trip for just €2 throughout the month of June.

As things stand, TD Plus is only available on a select number of bus stops in Valletta, Floriana, Pietà, Blata l-Bajda, Msida, San Ġwann, St. Julian’s, Swieqi and Pembroke
Those looking to try out the new service can do so every day from today between 5:30am and 10:30pm.
The new fleet includes six new minibuses which are low floor and fully wheelchair accessible. The company will also offer WiFi on the buses is available and seats are equipped with USB charging ports for added convenience.
The minibuses will accommodate up to 16 passengers.
