WATCH: Fintech Giant Nium Looking For Talent In Malta To Help It Achieve Global Ambitions
The Singapore-based start-up Nium is on a mission to revolutionise global money payments and is looking for talented Maltese individuals to be a part of it.
The Fintech company was founded seven years ago and today provides payment providers and businesses with access to global payments and card issuance solutions in over 100 currencies across 190 countries through its revolutionary platform.
Last year Nium acquired the Maltese company Ixaris whose core business was providing flexible funding and payment methods to help airlines and booking platforms operating in the travel sector.
Nium is currently valued at more than $2 billion company and is one of the largest Fintech in Malta.
“In Ixaris we have an 18-year-old company grown out of the university here in Malta,” Spencer Hanlon said.
“Nium was super attracted by the expertise and knowledge on the technological side, the commercial as well as the scheme-knowledge and we really wanted to bring that into our product suite in order to help us grow.”
Nium employs over 1000 people across multiple office around the world, from Singapore to San Francisco and is currently looking to fill over 100 vacancies, including in Malta, as it takes aim at the European market.
