Meet The Islanders: Love Island Malta Announces Season 2 Participants

Love Island Malta is heating up with the announcement of its Season 2 participants, promising an exciting lineup of diverse personalities.

From “naqa flirts” to bad boys, these islanders are ready to turn up the heat and find love in the sun-drenched paradise.

Love Island Malta promises to be a rollercoaster ride of emotions with flirty banter by the poolside to heart-to-heart conversations under the stars.

Let’s meet all the islanders.

First up is Kyannah Mizzi Debono, a 19-year-old who is “hard to get and naqa ta’ flirt”.

Kyannah shared she loves the chase and will certainly be bringing the flirty vibes to the villa. She also said the thing which impacts men the most is the “look” she has in her eyes.

Kyannah made it clear: younger guys and no tattoos are a no-go for her!

She’s got her eyes set on someone tall, and while good boys may not be her usual type, she’s keeping an open mind

The first male islander announced was Matthias Ablett, a 23-year-old who is “both a gentleman and a bad boy”.

Matthias is always trying to make people laugh and tries to be happy and makes sure the people around him are happy.

He prefers natural girls and loves a blonde and usually goes for older girls but doesn’t mind as long as their characters are similar

Next up is 20-year-old Kyra Pecorella.

Kyra said she can be quite shy at first however once she warms up to the person she relaxes.

She called the dating scene quite “crazy” and she loves to play the game and said she easily falls in love if she gets along with the person.

Kyra’s into tall bad boys, and tattoos – that’s a definite ‘10 out of 10’ for her!

Kyonne Gravina was the next islander to be announced by the show.

18-year-old Kyonne works as a personal trainer and also promotes parties. He said he doesn’t really have a type and a girl’s character is very important to him.

“People’s first impressions is always ‘This guy looks like a jerk, annoying and egotistic’ that’s what they always tell me at parties,” Kyonne said.

When asked if this true, Kyonne replied that it is not true but he does have a bit of an ego and once people get to know him they realise he is not like that.

“I am not my father, I am me, Kyonne. A different person,” Gravina said as revealed he is constantly judged for his family’s history which he has no control over.

At just 18 years old, Kyonne isn’t too picky when it comes to type, but there are a few traits he’s got his eye on!

He’s leaning towards someone older, maybe even blonde, and if she’s shorter than him, even better!

The next islander announced was 27-year-old Vanessa Scheibe.

Vanessa is from Spain and has her own marketing company and is also an influencer.

Vanessa has been living in Malta for two years and likes Maltese men as they remind her of Spanish men.

“Usually men like my patata but they also like my personality”

She’s looking for someone taller than her, with a bit of edge – tattoos are a must!

While she’s not looking for grand romantic gestures, she’s definitely open to someone cute and younger.

Next up is 22-year-old Jake Pace.

“The first girls notice are my eyes, as I have blue eyes and obviously my laugh,” Jake revealed.

“I love everyone even if I don’t know the person, I’ll give him my hundred percent,” the 22-year-old said.

Jake also shared what his pick line would usually be to get a girl: “Who gave you permission to be so beautiful?”

“I’m into girls a bit younger than me, especially blondes,” Jake revealed.

He’s also looking for someone outgoing, and bonus points if she’s shorter than him or around the same height.

The next female islander to be announced was 27-year-old Ylenia Grech who described herself as a bubbly girl and loves to make people laugh.

“I love being in love because I have a lot of love inside me and I want to give it out,” Ylenia shared.

The makeup artists hopes that Love Island will help her find her dream man.

“Tattoos? Absolutely. I’ve got ink too, so we can be matching with tattoos,” she shared

“Tall yes, it’s very important that’s he taller than me. I like that bit of distance between us, I have to wear heels too,” Ylenia added.

“Bad boy, a bit of bad is good, cause i’m a bit bad so a bad girl with a bad boy are good together,” the islander cheekily added.

“I’m very mature when it comes to relationships so a mature man is very important for me.”

Another male islander announced was Clinton King who is 24 years old.

“I’m Nigerian originally but I’ve been in Malta since I was 14,” Clinton shared.

“I do have like a lot of love, respect for my father because he brought me up to the man that I am today.”

“The boys definitely need to worry about me cause I’m gonna steal everyone,” he confidently announced.

When he picked up the option of a brunette he said this was “perfect”.

“’I’m a bit of a homebody myself,’ Clinton confessed

“’Makeup or no makeup, I don’t really mind,’ he added.

Clinton also shared how he prefers someone on the shorter side as there’s just something about that dynamic.

The last female islander announced was 26-year-old Racquel Gatt a Maltese-Australian and works in marketing.

“I’m hoping I bring good drama,” Racquel told the camera.

“People’s first impression of me is very wrong. I think because of my look they instantly categorise me. But at my core I’m very caring.”

“Mainly guys like that I’m very free-spirited. I definitely keep them on their toes.”

Older guys? Racquel’s not sure, but she’s definitely into fun, handsome guys who’ve got a bit of a bad boy streak!

The last islander to be announced was Alessandro Ebejer who is a 25-year-old gamer.

I’m known as ‘The Punisher’, this is my nickname from FIFA. A lot of people from these tournaments didn’t even keep calling me Aless or Alessandro but they call me the Punisher.”

“Even in my love life I am a bit of gamer. I like to change things up a bit.”

Alessandro is looking to end his situationships as he makes way to the villa.

Older ladies? He is all for it! Plus points if she’s cute without makeup and a blonde, but brunettes are welcome too.

Partying is a must, but height? Nope, shorter is sweeter for Alessandro.

Love Island Season Two producers Ben and Tina also announced that this years’ first coupling will have a twist to it with the viewers getting to play cupid.
