Sarah Naudi Lands Role In Gritty ITV Crime Drama Karen Pirie

Maltese actress and writer Sarah Naudi is part of the cast in the second season of Karen Pirie, the popular ITV crime drama based on Val McDermid’s novels, which premiered on Sunday 20th July 2025.
Naudi plays Detective Camilleri, joining the core investigative team led by Lauren Lyle’s character, Detective Inspector Karen Pirie.
Season 2 centres on a chilling cold case from 1984, involving the high-profile kidnapping of heiress Catriona Grant and her young son. The case went cold for decades until the discovery of a man’s body rekindles the investigation and exposes long-buried political grudges and family secrets.
Produced by World Productions (the company behind Line of Duty and Malpractice) the new season promises sharp twists, layered characters and the kind of gripping storytelling that made Season 1 a breakout success.
As an added bonus for local fans, some of the scenes were filmed in Malta, adding a familiar backdrop to the drama.
Naudi’s role marks another milestone in a growing screen career that has seen her appear in major international projects like Litvinenko, The Last Rifleman, Mood, Foundation and The Madame Blanc Mysteries. She’s also known for her standout stage performances in In the Heights and Evita in London’s West End.
