‘So Close Yet So Far’: MasterChef Malta Semi-Finalist Ivan Giordano’s Heartfelt Message After Elimination

Architect Ivan Giordano was eliminated from the MasterChef kitchen yesterday, just before the highly-anticipated finale, and the home cook has posted a heartfelt statement about his experience.
The 33-year-old was a fan-favourite throughout the competition, known for his bubbly personality, and leaving his working station particularly messy, as the Judges loved to point out.
“And with that, my MasterChef journey comes to an end claiming fourth place,” Ivan wrote, adding that his experience was “an emotional rollercoaster ride through and through”.
“So close, yet so far,” the architect wrote after being eliminated right before the finishing line.
“I’ve always loved watching MasterChef and I am super grateful to be such a big part of MasterChef Malta Season 1,” he continued.
The architect went on to say that he is “super grateful for the judges’ feedback.”
“Although harsh at times, I tried to take on as much as I could from what three great chefs taught me throughout this experience.”
Giordano also mentioned his fellow contestants, who he said “kept [him] sane during the competition,” calling them a “new-found family”.
“A special mention goes to my wife Lara who supported my decision to apply and pushed me forward even after returning home exhausted and frustrated after some of the challenges, and to my family for their support”.
‘You will definitely be seeing more of me on your feeds! Some exciting cooking related content will be released in the future, so make sure to follow,” the home cook concluded.
Last night’s episode saw home cooks Ray George Cassar, David Camilleri Duca, and Nicolas Bezzina pass on to the final stage of the competition, which will be aired on Sunday evening.
