L-Istrina has just kicked off, marking the 29th edition of the day-long Boxing Day telethon which aims to raise funds for the Malta Community Chest Fund.
From the Kirkop Sports Complex, l-Istrina started its 12-hour marathon at noon, with the iconic song Flimkien B’Solidarjetà by Vince Fabri opening everything.

The biggest sum ever collected at L-Istrina was €7 million in 2018, and while 2022 saw that number go all the way down to €5 million, last year saw the total budge up to €5.27 million.
