With 2025 just around the corner, announcements on new shows airing soon in Malta are coming in hot. And one such show promises to bring culture and nature together… all while revealing what lies just across the pond.

Ulied ix-Xelaq (literally translated to Children of the Horizon), is a new local series featuring an already-beloved band of adventurers and naturalists. Malta’s very own Exterminator Arnold Sciberras, along with scientific author and botanist Jeffrey Sciberras, will be joining popular presenter and adrenaline junkie Stephanie Chircop on a journey to the Aegadian Islands, a mostly overlooked archipelago off the northwestern coast of Sicily.

Together, the trio are promising to take audiences on a journey to everywhere from “the darkness and oblivion of underground systems”, to never-ending grassy hills, picturesque rocky outcrops and terrain that looks eerily similar to Malta’s… but just different enough to have you making multiple double-takes.

With work on season two of the show already underway behind the scenes, we will now be able to actually watch the first season very soon. Ulied ix-Xelaq debuts on 4th January at 8.30pm on Net TV.
