Yet another Lovin Live episode went down last night, and this week’s edition saw Chucky sit with The Morning Vibe trio JD, Jonathan Abel and Martina. It quickly turned into a case of the more, the merrier , and we’re still surprised we managed to squeeze in so many challenges and laughs in just over 30 minutes. 

Here are some of the best highlights from last night’s Lovin Live episode.

1. JD pulls a Chucky

JD has been known to pull Chucky’s leg on an occasion or two when it comes to the Lovin Live host’s outfits, and this was no exception. Showing up in a get-up awfully familiar to Chucky’s own, JD even threw in a fan into the mix. 

He had some comments about Chucky’s outfit (which included a notorious jacket), dubbing it a chic mix of Tribali-meets-Kanye vibes.

2. Reliving the trio’s (but mostly Martina’s) most embarrassing moments 

Being in the public eye (and ears) for so many years, the Vibe FM trio have definitely amassed an embarrassing moment or five. And while we had something for everyone (from a decade-old photo of Abel which looks eerily similar to present time to a naked JD), Martina definitely got the short end of the stick.

This section featured everything from her accidentally bumping into someone and apologising for “coming in her face” to some  absolutely golden  moments from Martina’s acting past.

3. Superimposing footage of an overwhelmed (read: drunk) Martina at an awards show onto some of the most iconic speeches in history

What’s better than watching Martina being Malta’s very own Winona Ryder before the international actress even made it to meme circles?

Superimposing that amazing clip to have the Vibe FM hostess stand alongside some of the most popular orators in human history.

4. Trying to guess which of our guests’ outlandish stories are actually true

Chucky’s task was simple enough; listen to two stories from each guest’s supposed past, ask a question or two about them, and try to deduce which ones are true and which ones are fabricated. 

They could’ve both been true or false, and with stories like JD being asked to be George Pullicino’s body double, Abel hugging The Black Eyed Peas’ Fergie, and Martina being swapped at birth, you can only imagine how tough (and hilarious) it must’ve been.

5. The most competitive Annual Quiz around (with the absolute best buzzers ever)

Fun fact: toy shakers make for the best of buzzers. 

JD, Abel and Martina are super competitive, and it only took a couple of seconds for that to come out. 

Our quiz of all of 2017’s highlights saw the Vibe FM trio shake their buzzers like crazy, and while Martina did end up winning, JD threw an amazing fit or two when he complained that he was being discriminated against.

And of course, this was too good of an opportunity to miss seeing as Tina actually won a award. So yes, we did give her the  original award  from that fateful ceremony. Oh the poetic irony.
