15th ŻiguŻajg Festival Celebrates Creativity Across Malta
The much-loved ŻiguŻajg Arts Festival for Children and Young People is set to return to Valletta, Birgu, and Gozo from 14th to 23rd November 2025, promising ten days filled with imagination, colour and creativity.
Now celebrating its 15th edition, this year’s festival holds special significance as it coincides with Spazju Kreattiv’s 25th anniversary-marking a quarter-century of artistic inspiration and community engagement.
For ten vibrant days, the three localities will transform into a playground of creativity, inviting children, young people, and families to experience theatre, dance, music, film, visual arts, and storytelling. The 2025 edition celebrates art as a shared adventure- one that sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and nurtures emotional and creative growth in the next generation.
“This milestone year is a joyous celebration of imagination and collaboration,” said Festival Director Marta Vella. “ŻiguŻajg has always been about inspiring young minds to dream and create. Celebrating this spirit alongside Spazju Kreattiv’s 25th anniversary makes this edition even more special- a testament to how creativity continues to shape our identity and bring people together.”
Staying true to its inclusive ethos, the festival will reach audiences across Malta and Gozo through performances, workshops, and school-based activities, giving children the chance to explore the transformative power of art while learning to express themselves and embrace diversity.
Reflecting on the joint anniversary, Rupert Cefai, Executive Chairman of Fondazzjoni Kreattività, said, “Spazju Kreattiv’s 25th year is a celebration of artistic exploration and community. ŻiguŻajg embodies that legacy- keeping creativity alive, accessible, and meaningful for every young person.”
As the festival unfolds, audiences of all ages- from curious little artists to lifelong art lovers- can look forward to ten unforgettable days of artistic wonder that both entertain and inspire a lasting love for creativity and self-expression.
The ŻiguŻajg Festival 2025 is produced by Fondazzjoni Kreattività in collaboration with Spazju Kreattiv, Arts Council Malta, the Ministry for Gozo and Planning, the Cultural Heritage Directorate, and the Gozo Region, and in partnership with Benna, Malta Public Transport, and Inkontru.
