4 Insane Maltese Boat Parties To Look Forward To This Summer
One of the best things about an island in the middle of the Mediterranean famous for its parties is that when summer rolls out, the boat parties come out to play. With the season’s heat steadily kicking off, here are four awesome boat parties happening in Malta this summer.
1. The Boat That Rocked (17th June)
One of the alternative scene’s annual appointments, Hedon Crew’s take on a boat party will this year be taking on pirates, with a night of shots, beer drinking competitions and swimming in Comino. This year, they actually organised an entire pre-weekend of camping, partying and treasure hunts around Comino. Leaving from Buġibba just before sunset, this boat party expects attendees to dress up, so you’d better start planning your costumes for the big night.
2. Navigayt (23rd July)
Malta will this year see its first gay party festival, and the three-day binge of awesomeness is a collaboration between the three biggest names in the business; Lollipop, Station2Station Events and BeatBears. The latter will be taking care of a boat party on the last day of festivities, and the early (think 10am partying!) festivities will be followed up by an after pool party. Colour us interested AF.
3. Lazy Pirate Parties
As if you wanted more reasons to attend a boat party, these nights are listed on HostelWorld.com as one of the best parties in Europe. Considered one of the main attractions in Malta, these five-hour boat parties depart from Sliema and happen on a very regular basis. All you need to do is find a date that suits you from their long list, and buckle up!
4. The Glitch Festival Boat Party (9th September)
Many people would be more than happy enough with Glitch’s insane lineup for its two-day festival, but the organisers wanted to do something even more special for the second edition. So they just went ahead and announced a Glitch Boat Party, a day-time party with “a carefully-curate line-up of international acts”, which as far as Glitch is concerned, means mind-blowing. More updates on this awesome addition to what was already one of the island’s best festivals will be rolling out soon.
