7 ‘Under €10’ Activities To Put On Your Maltese Summer Bucket List
Have you been wanting to curate a good summer bucket list, but don’t have the budget to do everything you want to do?
Luckily, there are actually plenty of things you can do in Malta which are either completely free or just under €10.
Here are 7 things you can do in Malta that are under €10:
1. Go to Serkin at 2am
Nothing tastes better than a piżelli pastizz from Serkin at 2am. And yes, it has to be at 2am – it just tastes better.
2. Visit a local Festa
You shouldn’t go over the €10 budget unless you end up drinking too much – but that’s on you.
3. Binge-watch all your favourite childhood movies
Not exclusive to Malta, but nothing says summer like High School Musical 2. That’s all I’ll say.
4. Pack a lunch and visit the sister island for a day
Gozo is only expensive if you end up buying lots of clothes and eating at luxurious restaurants. The truth is that the ferry only costs around €5 – that’s totally affordable.
5. Watch the sunset at Golden Bay
One of the most beautiful sights to behold. Take a swim in the red-orange sea, with the sun setting on the horizon.
6. Visit a Flea market
Traditional Flea markets are set up in various villages and towns, on different days of the week. Start off with Sunday morning’s Birgu market for example.
Here, you can find good quality clothes or knick-knacks for a really cheap price – even under €1 sometimes!
7. Take a ferry from Sliema to Valletta
Enjoy a boat ride between the two cities – just prepare for the long uphill walk to Valletta’s main road – or else, just take the lift.
What other cheap activities can you think of?
