Breaking up with someone is hard AF whatever the circumstances, and it’s definitely never easy… unless you’re the A hole who is into ghosting.

People deal with things differently and although time heals all wounds, here are some ways that could help speed up the process of recovering from a break up in Malta. Or at least, things can distract you from one.

1. Sweat it out!

Physical exercise releases endorphins and endorphins make you happy AF.

So go on, join a dance class, hit the gym or head over to these epic running spots to release some natural highs.

2. Indulge in some serious comfort eating sessions

You know what, we’re not promoting a permanently unhealthy lifestyle, but if you’re going through a painful break up, just take some time to eat whatever the hell you want. Increase the calorie intake and don’t beat yourself up too much if you have a couple of cheat days here and there.

Whether it’s meat you like, burgers, pizzas or have a hefty sweet-tooth… eat to your heart’s content! You deserve it… but report back to option #1 if you feel like this isn’t helping.

3. Grab a healthy cocktail

I know your initial thought is to get as wasted as you can, but how about going for the healthier option with a non-alcoholic cocktail?

Don’t look at me like that, the reason I’m saying this is because booze tends to act as an epic depressant when you’re already feeling blue (and no one wants to see you act cray)!

But if you’re really not into that then…

4. Cocktail O’Clock (the boozy kind)

Get your friends and grab some cocktails at these really awesome bars! Don’t get absolutely shit-faced and drink responsibly… a bad hangover while suffering from a broken heart is the actual worst.

5. Treat yo’ self

Treat your wonderful self to a shopping trip, perhaps a makeover, get your hair or nails done? Whatever your budget is, just do something to look after number #1.

You may feel like crap for the time being on the inside, but that doesn’t have to reflect on the outside.

6. A weekend getaway/staycation

Just get the hell out of your environment with a blissful home away from home in the form of a staycation/ weekend getaway on the Island!

Whether you want country views, seafront accommodation or want to travel to Gozo, Airbnb have hundreds of stunning holiday homes that are picture perfect (lots even have private pools)!

All you have to decide is whether you want to go alone or with your BFFs.

7. A pampering spa sesh always helps

Enjoy some well-deserved R&R with an unapologetic pampering sesh.

If it’s a facial or massage you want, there are tons of great there are tons of great spas in Maltas, so take your pick!

8. Laugh your ass off

Laughter is the best medicine. If you can surround yourself with funny AF friends – great, but may we also suggest going to a hilarious stand up comedy show?
