With the Christmas holidays so far behind us, you’d expect Malta to slow down when it comes to parties. Well, you’d expect wrong. Loads of people are gearing up for a very eventful February, and with something happening every weekend, you’re gonna need some help keeping track of it all.

3rd February: Ctrl-Alt-UK

A night of British classics, from The Beatles to Alt-J, Ctrl-Alt-UK marks a quick return to The Funky Monkey for most of the alternative scene. Featuring Geddumu from Hedon Crew and Clint from the now-staple CLASS nights.

4th February: Où Est Le Pantie? Vol 3.

One of the most hyped party nights of the alternative scene, 4th February marks the drastic expansion of the Pantie Crew nights, this time also including a live set by none other than the electro-darling YEWS. Expect a lot of alternative classics, thrown in bang in the middle of your favourite guilty-pleasures from Drake and Rihanna.

4th February: OTR – In The Beginning

OTR are back with more house music, this time honouring the very roots of the genre that’s been going strong ever since 1977. Promising to dig up forgotten gems that changed dance music as we know it, this one’s going to be one unmissable night. 

4th February: SHDW & Obscure Shape at Liquid

Liquid Club seems to have at least one great party going down every month, and Entropy’s first anniversary on the first Saturday of February promises a great lineup of obscure techno from Malta and beyond.

9th February: JamLimmat In Malta

Celebrating the eve of the public holiday of St. Paul’s Shipwreck that will usher in a whole year of long weekends, Spanish DJ JamLimmat will be making an appearance at The Warehouse in Żurrieq.

9th February: Wave by Dazed & Confused Records

Constantly juggling between sun-kissed Malta and rainy Berlin, Dazed & Confused Records’ monthly residence at The Funky Monkey is back for more with the introduction of their second season. More information will be released soon, but expect more of the same greatness.

11th February: We Love Acid – DMX Krew Live

DMX Crew has released 6 full albums on legendary Aphex Twin’s label Rephlex Records, and this February, he’s bringing his electro-pop/breakbeat to Malta for a live performance at The Orb! If you’re looking for a retro party that packs a proper punch, this is definitely the place to be on the 11th.

18th February: A Winter Orgy

Two back-to-back DJ sets featuring CLASS‘ I.YOU and Clint, and The Velts’ Stimpy and Cardona, the night also promises a surprise performance by an artist who’ll be announced on Valentine’s Day, so keep your eyes peeled.

25th February: Street Party: Singular Modality

Street Party’s next night will avoid being hosted in the middle of nowhere on the side of a road (probably due to the sudden cold-spell that’s taken over our island). This edition will be moving to Razzett l-Aħmar, where a host of DJs will spin some of the best electronic and techno music, along with a performance of electrock band Singular Modality
