Turning back the clocks, celebrating Freedom Day… this weekend in Malta sure is eventful. And that’s without getting into all the events going down around the island!
We have a feeling this weekend is going to be a good one, and if you do to, here’s where you should probably be heading to.
Friday 29th March
1. An alternative club night filled with duck puns
Malta’s freshest party this weekend has a whole lot of duck puns! Expect pop, indie, funky house, disco and lots of surprises (including a photo booth).
Everything kicks off at 10:30pm sharp, so don’t be late and quack the night away!
2. A fun event that’s all about chocolate!
Join the Institute for Tourism Studies (ITS) to explore the science behind chocolate and chocolate making. There will be demonstrations, workshops and activities relating to choc sculptures, experiments and wine pairings.

3. A musical theatre concert
Featuring songs from Disney classics to Wicked, Company to A Chorus Line, The Last 5 Years to golden oldies, and so much more.

Saturday 30th March
4. A spring seven-course tasting menu
Patakka are serving a special tasting menu showcasing spring’s seasonal produce.
Dishes include local siċċ (marinated in gin and served with a spring green salad, watercress and ink tempura) and confited dentex (torched gem lettuce & sea urchin velouté).
€55 per person including seven course meal, water & coffee.
5. A zero waste pop-up event
The Pod at Carob Tree are hosting a pop-up event with Cru Wine Bar and Abby (aka Queen Crust), along with J-okini and Vincent’s Eco Estate.
There will be plenty of cool activities, demonstrations (such as a Peruvian ceviche masterclass) and talks about how to reduce your daily waste.
Lunch and dinner will be served in 100% biodegradable bowls and plates from Japan.

6. A concert from the official Led Zeppelin tribute band
A two hour live concert from Letz Zep, the official Led Zeppelin tribute band? Baby baby, yes please!
In Malta for the first time ever, Letz Zep are the the best known and most successful tribute band and they’ve toured over 30 countries.
Sunday 31st March
7. A dog show
A dog show where you’ll be able to marvel at many different types of breeds including Italian greyhound, pugs, poodles, labradors and more.

8. An open talent and modelling show
MGT production are hosting a modelling, fashion and open talent challenge at the Corinthia Hotel (St George’s Bay).
