An Opera Show, A Car Boot Sale And Stand-Up: 11 Events To Help You Be A Culture Vulture This Weekend In Malta
There’s tonnes of fun to be had this weekend in Malta and we want to selflessly make sure you get the best out of it!

Friday 8th March
1. A theatrical fantasy about Malta’s first fictional female Prime Minister
Apotheosis will combine theatre, film, visual arts and music to share the story of Maltese political, social and feminist themes.
2. An annual opera show at Teatru Manoel
Teatru Manoel will be showcasing a special opera production of Mozart’s Così fan tutte. Expect a twisted tale of war, betrayal and deception.
3. A club night celebrating women
TwentyTwo will open at 8:30pm exclusively for women with special treats, finger food and a special show by Francisco Acm!
Prizes from Hair Charm Malta, GILDA, Perfumes & More Malta, Inglot Malta, Organixbeauty and Belvedere Vodka – Malta will be up for grabs and then from 10:30pm the club will be open for everyone with the entrance fee of €10 including a drink.
4. A huge book sale
The start of Siġġiewi’s three-day mega book sale at PAMS Hall. Expect thousands of new books costing between €1 to €3.

Saturday 9th March
5. Artisan markets in Valletta
Head on over to Suq Tal-Belt for the first of their artisan market series.
Expect stalls selling homeware & accessories, mixed media arts, as well as food producers & suppliers Oil & More, Barbuto, Truffles & Co., Gee’s Jams, and Munch A Bunch Nut Butters.
6. A classical and hip hop dance show
Mandy Dance Academy are hosting a dance show which will merge classical dance with hip hop.

7. Hear the funniest WTF dating stories
Laugh your heart out to stories about ghosting, unwanted pictures, splitting the bill, cat-fishing, heart-break, and the most wtf stories from professional storytellers.
The award winning Story Party Tour has played to sold out audiences all over the world and they’re in Malta for the weekend.
Sunday 10th March
8. A car boot sale
This car boot sale is open to the public and will be located next to the Santana Hotel car park in Triq Il-Port Ruman Qawra from 9am to 1pm.
There’ll be tonnes of sellers, refreshments and even a bouncy castle!
9. A treasure hunt… by car!
Rally a troop, get in a car and drive all over the island to be in of a chance to win some really cool prizes.

10. Good old stand-up comedy to wind down the weekend
A stand-up show hosted by Malta Funny Business featuring some of the top comedians on the island.
Laughing guaranteed!
11. A beloved X Factor finalist returns… alongside Malta’s hip hop heirs
Luke Chappell will be performing on stage this Sunday at Cloudberry, at a show all about Malta’s hip hop future.
The KAM show will see young rapper Yannick performing his latest EP, along with his mates Eddie Fresco and Caro from 215Collective… and Chappell himself, of course!
