Chess Buddies Malta: Community-Led Initiative For Fun, Learning And Charity
A community-led initiative focused on using chess to bring kids together in a fun, inclusive, and educational environment is being organised by Chess Buddies Malta and with all admission fees being donated to a local charity supporting children and young people facing serious life challenges in Malta and Gozo.
This summer, the Primary Mixed Interschool Chess Tournament will be held on the 2nd August at Ċentru San Ġużepp Ħaddiem in Birkirkara.
This event is in collaboration with the Malta Chess Federation, Swieqi Chess Club & University of Malta Chess Club.
The tournament aims to promote fun, learning & inclusion committed to helping spread chess awareness and create more opportunities for children to learn and play the game.
100% admission fees will be donated to the Children in Need Foundation and all those who attend will receive a Chess Buddies Malta t-shirt, medal, snacks and a certificate of participation.
