Damien Hirst's Artwork To Be Exhibited In Malta For The First Time Ever

Coming to Valletta very soon!

Damien Hirst Lovin Malta

A piece of work by the superstar English artist Damien Hirst will be exhibited in Malta for the first time later this month.

The work forms part of Afterminimalism, an exhibition curated by Norbert Francis Attard and Francesca Mangion, which will run between the 12th April and 17th May at Valletta Contemporary.

The Damien Hirst artwork to be showcased will be one of his two lenticular works created in 2014. For those familiar with his works, it is one of the iconic multi-coloured dots pieces.

This artwork is one of Hirst’s most prolific and iconic pieces, made using the most advanced lenticular printing technique, creating an illusion of depth.

Other prestigious works, such as Angela Bulloch's 'Thing One on Pixel Box Blue' (2014) will also be on show

Damien Hirst is an English artist, entrepreneur and art collector. He is part of the Young British Artists and is reportedly the UK’s richest living artist.

Afterminimalism revisits minimalism, choosing to approach it from a methodological rather than a thematic perspective.

Among Damien Hirst, the eight other artists include Angela Bulloch, Brian Eno, Liam Gillick, Ian Howard, Hans Kotter, Ignacio Muv, Richard Roth and Javier Vivas will also be showcasing for the first time.
