It’s that time of the year again. The air is super crispy (mostly) and our pointy hats are being dusted for an amazing night of horror, spooky stuff and excess. Of course excess is on the menu; this is Malta we’re talking about after all.

Anyway, here’s a list of things you can do to keep the Halloween spirit alive on the island.

Friday 26th October

1. The apocalypse is here(ish)

ARC will be organising Apocalyptica Xtravaganza, where LGBTQ+ and friends are welcome to dress up. The theme of this party is the apocalypse, so get your head racing because you need to wow everyone present.

2. Here’s one for you posh folks

Electro Lobster Project is organising an obscure disco party with local DJs Julian Drury and Tiffany Pisani. Costumes are encouraged for this drunk night of fun and spooky stuff.

3. You can go to this haunted house party

G7 events will be organising their halloween edition haunted house and bat cave complete with drunken people dancing in a disorderly fashion. The DJ lineup will be announced soon. It will be hosted at the Club House at Gianpula Village.

4. Get your comic groove on for the night

The St. Andrew’s Band Club in Luqa will be hosting the Wicked Halloween Party. The event will be part of the Malta Comic Con Party, so fab costumes and all-out creativity is expected.

Saturday 27th October

5. Attend a magical monster ball

Our favourite gay bash is back. Gear up for a night of drop-dead gorgeous costumes, OTT beauty and trashy music. Are you ready for another Lollipop? We know we are.

6. Of course, Paceville is an option too

For this Halloween, Yakuza will be hosting Artbat and Barnt along with other artists. This event will be taking place as Sky Club on the 27th of October.

You can book your own VIP table at the venue to avoid feeling like your feet are sinking six feet under in heel hell.

7. Be the horror of the night at this open bar event

Għaxaq Football Club will be hosting a Halloween night open bar. The theme is a called ‘Creatures out of the Night’. Spooookky.

8. Carve a pumpkin down at this hip supermarket

Valyou Supermarket will be organising two workshops in pumpkin carving in Mellieħa. Kids are welcome to participate with their adult human. However it is advisable to book your session since limited spaces are available.

Sunday 28th October

9. Get your Mdina vibes to the ready with this pop-up cafe

Palazzo Falson will be hosting the re-opening of their rooftop café with some Halloween-themed treats, teas and coffees. Yum. Gorge yourself with some sinful delicacies as you enjoy the panoramic view.

Wednesday 31st October

10. Go cult-classy with an Eyes Wide Shut theme

If you’re looking for style and decadence, head over to the Charles Grech Cafe and Cocktail Bar in Valletta. They’re not really going over the top with the whole costume thing, however you are expected to wear sexy black. Their words not ours.

Saturday 3rd November

11. Prepare yourself for a night of Massacre

Three live bands will be on stage during this event, featuring local heavyweights ClubMurder and Decline The Fall.

Newcomers Mythril will also be rocking the stage. DJ Hades will be hitting the dance floor in between bands and after the show is done, so get ready for a long and heavy one.

12. Be the belle of the ball

Monaliza’s Halloween Ball is offering you the chance to celebrate in style in one of the city’s most spectacular ball rooms. 80s and 90s classics are on the menu, along with an art exhibition by all-time Lovin favourite artist LinkaSewda.

You will also get the chance to get a psychic reading from Fire & Moon Dust Mystical Emporium on the spot. Fancy.
