‘It’s Been More Than Just A Nightclub’: Żurrieq’s The Warehouse To Close After A Decade
Żurrieq’s The Warehouse Club is set to close its doors at the end of this month, marking the end of an era for one of the island’s most unique venues.
“After 10 incredible years, The Warehouse will always hold a special place in my heart, and I know it will remain in the hearts of many others,” owner Felix Zahra told Lovin Malta. “This venue has been more than just a nightclub; it has been a home to a community that we now proudly call family.”
“The passionate support we’ve received from day one has been nothing short of remarkable,” Zahra continued, also thanking his previous business partner Carmelo Cassar and his current one Stefan Haller. “Without their help and hard work, none of this would have been possible. From the clubbers to the promoters, we all came together to create something truly special.”

Far away from any clubbing centre and perched on a cliff overlooking a gorgeous view of Malta’s southwestern coast – and Filfla to boot – The Warehouse has hosted everything from early-morning raves to alternative music festivals in the last decade.
“The challenges were always significant, but together, we overcame them,” Zahra went on. “We succeeded in making people dance, smile, and experience the magic we created through music. The Warehouse may be closing its doors, but the memories and the impact we made will live on forever.”
As the islands face the closure of another music venue, Zahra called for greater awareness of the need for more clubs and cultural spaces on the island, emphasising their vital role in fostering community and cultural expression.
Set for Saturday 31st August, The Warehouse Club’s Official Closing Party is bringing to Italian artists to the island along with “almost all the local talents who have graced our stage over the years” for a long day and night of music.
