Judi Dench Might Visit Malta: Here’s Everywhere She Needs To Go
We’re all still reeling from the news that a bunch of major stars will be taking part in the remake of Murder On The Orient Express and might all be visiting Malta for filming. These include the following A-list celebs: Penelope Cruz, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, Michael Pena, Judi Dench, Josh Gad and Kenneth Branagh.
Hold the phone. Judi Legend Dench is coming?
If this is for real, someone better sort out all the potholes because Hollywood royalty is about to touch down. Here’s what we recommend for Judi to do while she’s in Malta:
1. Queen Judi will fit right in at San Anton gardens
Judi Dench has played the Queen of England in a few of her films, so it makes sense for her to visit the place where the real Queen spent some of her happiest days. The Queen may own all the swans in Britain, but we’d loan ours to Judi while she’s here for sure.
2. Cafe Cordina for coffee with James
M is going to need somewhere local yet decadent where she can summon Bond over for a scolding. Let’s face it Cafe Cordina would be at home in any Bond film so head to Valletta Jude!
3. Somewhere to satisfy her Chocolat craving!
Too many places would be ideal for this. Here, have a whole list.
4. Grand Harbour will give Caribbean cruising a run for its money
Dench plays a pampered 18th century aristocrat in (one of the) Pirates of the Caribbean. Nothing beats our Grand Harbour for the ultimate blend of pirate meets pretty, so it will def go down well with the Dench.
5. Manoel Theatre for those Shakespeare vibes
Judi won an Oscar for her role in Shakespeare In Love, so stepping into another gorgeous theatre is sure to bring back some sweet memories.
6. The National Library to go over her notes
There’s no interior more beautiful than Malta’s Bibliotheca to calm Judi’s nerves after her fraught role in Notes on a Scandal. Soak in the beautiful leather-bound volumes and think about just how much you’re loving Malta.
