WATCH: Malta Has A Brand New Sandy Beach Installed

Construction work has finished on a new sandy beach found between Sliema and St. Julians. Work on Balluta Bay started earlier this summer, and as the large barges clear the space, the new beach has taken shape.
Sharing a drone shot of the completed works, Malta’s Minister for Tourism showed off the ‘Experimental Sand Renourishment’.

The beach was extended by 20m in a bid to “improve the tourism product” by the ministry. Here’s an Instagram time lapse of how the change went down.
