Maltese Conservation Writer’s Book Makes It All The Way To The U.S.

Maltese conservation writer Sara Mizzi has released her debut children’s book which has made it all the way to Barnes & Noble in the US.

The Hedgehog Who Wanted to Cross the Road is an illustrated children’s book following the heartwarming tale of Fred the Hedgehog as the books takes us on his journey to help his wife. 

“A story close to my heart, inspired by my first-hand experiences of seeing many squished hedgehogs in the road during my weekly nature jogs,” Sara wrote on her social media. 

“Through this book, I hope to ignite a love and appreciation for these little creatures who so desperately need our help,” Mizzi added. 

The book is illustrated by Sheneen Abdulla, who brought the book to life with her beautiful illustrations.

The book was published through Olympia Publishers in the UK however it did not stop the book from reaching the US as the book is on sale on the giant bookseller Barnes & Noble.
