SwieqiFest 2025: Three Nights Of Music, Food And Community Spirit
Swieqi is once again gearing up for one of Malta’s most anticipated community events, SwieqiFest 2025 — and this year, one lucky festivalgoer could even walk away with free tickets to see Lady Gaga live in concert.
The three-day festival will take place from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th September at Ġnien Mons. Victor Grech, transforming the heart of Swieqi into a vibrant hub of music, food and celebration.
What started as a small grassroots initiative in the early 2000s has now grown into a staple of the Maltese cultural calendar. From honouring Maltese traditions to embracing international acts, SwieqiFest reflects the town’s transformation from a quiet suburb into a bustling, multicultural hub.
A Festival For Everyone
Each evening kicks off at 6:30pm, just as the sun sets, with the square lit up by decorations, dazzling lights, and a huge outdoor stage. Families, locals, and visitors of all ages are encouraged to join in, with activities ranging from kids’ entertainment and arts showcases to live performances that carry on well into the night.
A Line-Up That Packs A Punch
This year’s festival promises one of the most exciting programmes yet, blending Maltese stars with international tribute acts. Audiences can look forward to BORN GAGA, a UK tribute to Lady Gaga and BRUNO to MARS, a UK tribute to Bruno Mars, alongside some of Malta’s biggest names in music.
The line-up includes Emma Muscat, Red Electric, Kurt Calleja & Band, Sarah Bonnici, Kevin Paul Calleja, Drakard & Band, Kayati, Gaia, Yazmin Helledie, Skarlet, Ben Squared, Freefall, Out of the Blues, Krista Sujak, Amelia and Yulan, Daniel John Pisani, and Michaela Aquilina, ensuring three unforgettable nights packed with energy, artistry and entertainment.
From folk to pop, rock to indie, the SwieqiFest stage is set to deliver something for everyone.

Arts Fusion Exhibition
This year, 35 renowned artisans will be displaying their crafts during each day of the festival from 6pm onwards. The Exhibition includes handmade paintings at a bustling market. Visitors can purchase unique souvenirs, meet the makers and learn about traditional Maltese craftsmanship.
Family-friendly fun
SwieqiFest is designed to be inclusive for all ages. Children’s zones feature bouncy castles, face painting, storytelling sessions and interactive games which are held on Sunday 14th from 5 – 7pm.
Food, Drinks And More
No Maltese festa is complete without food — and SwieqiFest will feature stalls serving up festival favourites, refreshing drinks, local wines, and beer throughout the weekend. With dedicated family-friendly spaces, it’s designed to be as enjoyable for kids as it is for adults.
