The Kinemastik Film Club Is Back

Article Featured Image

Kinemastik – the Malta-based NGO that delivers cultural programmes based around screenings, talks, exhibitions and concerts – is back. There’s new dates, and a new curator, and it all sounds pretty damn artsy-licious.

First in line for the upcoming Kinemastik events is 1977 film Le Couple Temoin (The Model Couple). The story is set in 1977 France when the Ministry of the Future chooses two “normal,” white, middle-class citizens, Claudine (Anémone) and Jean-Michel (André Dussolier), for a national experiment. The film watches the couple as they are monitored and displayed for six months in a model apartment outfitted with state-of-the-art products and nonstop surveillance.

And if you want to watch them too, you just need to head down to the British Legion pub in Valletta on the 22nd February.
