The Last Bonkers ‘Boat Parties’ In Malta You Need To See Summer Off In Style
It’s been a long, eventful and very hot summer in Malta, but now that August’s coming to an end, the first hints of autumn can already be felt in the air. Before that, though, there are a couple of big parties (and even a huge festival) to look forward to. For that extra summery vibe, here are four insane boat parties to see August and September off in style.
Friday 25th August: The Matrix Club Boat
One of Berlin’s biggest nightclubs, The Matrix Club, is coming to Malta… and they’re bringing their best DJs with them. The Hornblower will be transformed into a proper dancefloor with a huge sound system, lights and the whole lot. All the artists performing are from Berlin, except the local legend Joseph Armani himself, who’ll be exclusively performing his latest song Happy People.
Saturday 26th August: FŻL Annual Bash
After a very busy first half of 2017, it’s time for a well-deserved rest for the Labour youth. Tickets are limited and have been being sold on a first come, first served basis, so hurry if you want a space at the annual boat party organised by Forum Żgħażagħ Laburisti.
Saturday 2nd September: The Second Tale Boat Party
Tale‘s hip hop parties have taken the Maltese clubbing scene by storm, especially as international and local hip hop continues to improve. Tale’s first boat party was a huge success, and they’re now back for a second round. Judging by the photos from the last party, this September boat bash is set to be lit AF.

Saturday 9th September: The Glitch Festival Boat Party
Many people would be more than happy enough with Glitch’s insane lineup for its two-day festival, but the organisers wanted to do something even more special to close off the second edition of the festival.
So they just went ahead and announced a day-time party with “a carefully-curated line-up of international acts”, which as far as Glitch is concerned, means mind-blowing. In fact, the boat party will feature Space Dimension Controller, DJ Seinfeld, and Malta’s very own Jupiter Jax… because clearly, there’s always room to make a great thing even better.
Tickets for this event are selling out very fast, so don’t sit on this for too long.
