This weekend is dedicated to everyone who loves to party. From international superstars to local heroes, there’s so much going on, you might need to get a good long nap in the morning just to get through.

For those of you looking to have a more mellow weekend (and avoid some blinding hangovers/comedowns), there are a few chilled live music nights you can enjoy too. So here we go!

Thursday 8th August

1. Wine all weekend long

Kicking off the weekend early, Delicata’s annual wine event is back for its 18th year at its usual quaint spot at the Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta.

With over 20 wines to sample and live music throughout the night, you’re bound to have a bubbly evening.

Friday 9th August

2. Free snacks and uncouth jazz

Jazz/fusion act The Ranch will be performing at the Kings Gate Arms in Msida this Friday. Great music aside, you’ll also have 2-for-1 tequila on offer and free snacks all night long!

3. A party in the sky

Alessia De Martino and Co. will be performing at Club TwentyTwo this weekend for an exclusive night of house and commercial hits. Make sure you dress to impress and enjoy the awesome view the club has to offer.

4. Coffee shop by day, funky joint by night

Coffee Circus in Qui-Si-Sana is hosting a night of soul and funk with Aye AKA Soul Sap and James Bonello joining forces to bring you all the hits from Prince to Erykah Badu. Be sure to get there early as seating is limited and the venue is very, very small.

Saturday 10th August

5. A date with the devil

Malta’s favourite retro disco night is back with a hot twist! This Saturday, Club Uno will be converted into heaven and hell for a sizzling summer edition of Frisco Disco. Bring your best devil outfits with you as there will be rewards…

6. An evening with the Queen… kinda

The UK Queen tribute band are back to celebrate 20 years of the Għaxaq Music Festival at well… Għaxaq Grounds (duh)

Catch hit tunes like We Will Rock You, Radio Ga Ga and Bohemian Rhapsody in (almost) all their glory this weekend!

7. A legend returns to one of Europe’s most beautiful clubs

Escape to Malta’s sister island for the weekend and watch legendary Maltese DJ Tenishia take over La Grotta for his annual Gozo event.

8. Salsa Saturdays featuring a special guest all the way from the US of A

Dust off those dancing shoes and get ready to shimmy and shake to the rhythm of Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, Kizomba at Exiles this weekend.

This Saturday marks a special occasion for the Baila club as special guest James Pongue from Texas will be there to teach you some of his lifts, tricks and fancy footwork. Oh, and don’t forget your swimsuit!

9. A 90s throwback

Another throwback event, Ziggy is taking us back to the 90s for round two at Club Uno this Saturday.

10. The last hurrah before Glitch Festival takes over the island

Glitch Club Series is back for its sixth round before the Glitch Festival next week.

The night promises to be as good as the festival itself and features some of Malta’s techno & electro heroes, including Cain and Manthrax going back to back. The Club Series will actually continue after the festival, because summer 2019 clealry belongs to Glitch!

Sunday 11th August

11. One of Germany’s biggest stars at your favourite seaside venue

The man behind hits such as Sugar, Speechless and All This Love, Robin Schulz will be performing at Cafe Del Mar’s sunset specials this Sunday!

12. The weekend may be over, but the Summer Daze has just begun

Kicking off Day 1 of Summer Daze Fest will be American DJ Duo (and brothers) Steve & Christian Martinez at Club Uno.

The Martinez Brothers have become two of the most recognisable global stars in house and techno and are sure to keep your weekend spirits alive well into next week.

Tag someone who needs to add these events to their weekend plans!
