Witness Familiar And New Explorations Of Emotions At The Sam Alekksandra Exhibition At 2B Gallery
Enter an exploration of emotional extremes with the opening of the ‘Sam Alekksandra’ exhibition tomorrow night.
Join Sam Alekksandra herself and Joanna Delia for the launch of the ‘Sam Alekksandra’ exhibition, featuring the debut of new exciting pieces as well as classics from the artist’s OSCILLATIONS summer exhibition in Chongqing, China.
OSCILLATIONS was a huge success in which she reflected on extreme individualisation in contemporary society and encompassing both pain and pleasure. The highlight of the event was Alekksandra’s 26-hour performance within the gallery itself, living there and writing poetry each hour to celebrate her life and mark a significant milestone, all captured on CCTV.
With staggering international success from France to Germany and of course China, the artist will now be showing familiar pieces alongside new spectacles right on her home turf.
“The exhibition showcases a captivating collection of new pieces—including evocative sculptures and dynamic performances—that weave together her diverse talents in visual arts, journalism, and poetry,” the gallery explained in a statement.
Delve into Sam Alekksandra’s world from tomorrow, Thursday 10th October at 7.00pm at the 2B Gallery in St Julian’s and make sure to RSVP on 2B’s website.
Will you bear witness to the exploration of pain and pleasure?
