Ziplining For Hope: Missio Malta’s 2025 Marathon Is Here
If you’ve ever wanted to abseil or zipline off Mosta Bridge, now’s your chance to do it and all for a great cause.
Mosta Scouts Group’s much-loved Abseiling and Ziplining Marathon is back this weekend, 11th and 12th October, raising funds for Maltese missions around the world.
Now in its 14th year, the event has become a staple for adventure lovers and charity supporters alike. Organised in aid of Missio Malta the marathon has seen thousands of daring participants take the plunge (literally) for a good cause.
“Through the enthusiasm of the Mosta Scout Group volunteers, we’ve been able to turn an adventure into a tradition,” said Missio Malta’s Head of Communications and Fundraising, Robert Farrugia.
“Over the past 14 years, we’ve ziplined and abseiled with thousands of participants, and every year we’ve managed to raise vital funds for people in need across Africa, South America and Asia.”
The event is part of Missio Malta’s month-long series of activities dedicated to global missions, which will culminate in World Mission Day 2025 on Sunday 19th October, themed ‘Missionaries of Hope Among All Peoples’.
All activities are led by certified Mosta Scout Group professionals and covered by the necessary insurance. Participants (including minors with signed consent forms) can register online here.
